Soccer roundup: Fruitport shuts down Mona Shores

Fruitport's varsity girls soccer team scored a hard-fought 2-0 win over rival Mona Shores on Friday evening.

The Trojans received goals from Haily George and Sarah Harken, with Carly Kryfka adding an assist.
 

ROCKETS SHUT OUT WARRIORS

Reeths-Puffer scored two goals in the opening minutes and another with just over a minute remaining in the game to edge host Western Michigan Christian 3-0 Friday night.

Natalie Yeck had two goals for the Rockets and Candice Fredricks added one.

The Rockets out shot the Warriors 23-8 and WMC keeper Lindsey Johnson made 20 saves.
