Nummerdor takes over for Brandon Pastor, who led the Trojans to a district championship this past winter but was not retained as coach. His release sparked quite a bit of controversy among former Fruitport wrestlers.

Nummerdor previously served as the assistant varsity wrestling coach and assistant football coach at Reeths-Puffer High School. The former Trojan student-athlete, who graduated from Fruitport in 2003, was also the varsity softball coach at Reeths-Puffer. He previously served as an assistant football, track and wrestling coach at Orchard View.

Edward Bailey, who coached Holton High School to a state volleyball championship and runner-up title and most recently coached at Muskegon Community College, has been hired as Western Michigan Christian's girls volleyball coach.

The announcement was made after Bailey met at WMC with the girls who will be trying out for the team on Thursday.
