Douglas Brown was listed in serious condition this morning at Hackley Hospital in Muskegon, officials said.

Brown was driving his 2008 Ford Super Duty truck east on I-96 about 2:30 p.m. when he tried to switch lanes. His truck was struck by a 2002 Chevy Cavalier driven by Megan Haisma, 18, of Grand Rapids, said Sgt. Jon Ditmar of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department.

Both drivers lost control of their vehicles and went into the median. Haisma’s car rolled once. She was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured, Ditmar said.

Brown’s truck rolled several times, Ditmar said.

Brown suffered serious injuries and was taken by North Ottawa Community Hospital ambulance to Hackley Hospital.
