Law finished the 5K race in a time of 17 minutes, 12 seconds. He edged out Zeke Timmer, 18, of Holland, who came in just 2 seconds behind Law at 17:14.
Grand Rapids’ Jeff Yonker, 52, was third at 17:47.
Spring Lake’s Tyler Fedewa, 20, took fourth at 17:51, followed by John Dood, 17, of Grand Rapids, who was fifth at 18:11.

The first female finisher was Grand Haven’s Melissa Richardson, 40, who came across at 20:42. Her time was good for 24th place overall.
West Olive’s Jackie Ruster, 42, was the second female finisher at 21:38, followed by Amy Bross, 34, of Spring Lake, who crossed the finish line in 21:41.
Grand Haven’s Ashley Rice, 16, was close behind at 21:44.
A total of 470 runners and walkers took part in the event, which serves as the kickoff to the Lakeshore 5K Run/Walk series.
The series, which has been expanded from last year, also includes the Spring Lake Heritage Festival Run on June 16; the Seaway Run on June 23; the Grand Haven High School Patriot’s Day Run on June 30, and the Coast Guard Run on July 28.
Awards will be presented to participants who finish any three of the five races.
A complete list of finishers from Saturday’s 5K run/walk will be published in the Grand Haven Tribune later this week.
