A 22-year-old female resident of the Copper Beach Apartments, 10295 48th Ave., woke up about 3:30 a.m. Tuesday to find a man standing in the doorway of her bedroom, Bennett said.
She immediately yelled at him and he ran away, Bennett said.
The woman called police and a canine officer tracked the suspect, but could not locate him, Bennett said.
There was no contact between the suspect and the resident, Bennett said. The resident was not injured.
The man was about 6 feet tall and was wearing a black ski mask, Bennett said.
