Worship On the Waterfront is a ministry of First Reformed Church and run by a team of 11 volunteers who are committed to providing 10 weeks of free Christian worship events. It takes about $4,500 per week to put on the events.

This year's W.O.W. kicks off Sunday with Grant Norsworthy.

New artists for this summer include: Tommee Profitt on July 1, Brigitte Donoho on July 15, Bebo Norman on Aug. 5, and the Zion Bible College Worship Team on Aug. 26.

Returning crowd favorites are: Phil Stacey on July 8, Rick Hopkins on July 22, Praise-A-Pella on July 29, Chris Hansen on Aug. 12, and Peder Eide on Aug. 19.

For further W.O.W. information, call 616-842-6600 or go to worshiponthewaterfront.org. Worship On the Waterfront goes on rain or shine and a freewill offering is taken.

Do they pay any rent for the use of the water front or is this public property given to them just because it is a religious event?
