David Kennedy, 64, was driving west on M-104 just before noon when he lost control of his vehicle. The SUV rolled once and landed upright, said Detective Corey Allard of the Spring Lake/Ferrysburg Police Department.

Emergency personnel were able to pop out the door and Kennedy was able to get out on his own.

Allard said the man had minor injuries and sought his own treatment.

Kennedy was wearing a seat belt. Although he claimed to be going the speed limit, he was ticketed for driving too fast for the wet road conditions, Allard said.
