Devontae Collier was arraigned Wednesday on a charge of assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder and being an habitual offender.
The two victims were part of a large group that had gathered to watch a fight in a parking lot last July 4. Both had leg wounds and were treated at a Grand Rapids hospital.
The Kent County Prosecutor's Office authorized a warrant Tuesday against Collier, who was in a county jail on unrelated charges.
A judge has ordered Collier held on a $500,000 bond. A preliminary examination is scheduled July 10.
