Top 10 dollar-store products

Not everything in some so-called "dollar" stores are cheaper than grocery stores. And some of the dollar-store brands are not the same quality or quantity of name-brand products.

In her blog, "Ten dollars well spent," Chantal McDaniel ("Thrift Trick") lays out her 10 favorite dollar-store products. She says all of the items cost her $1 each.

"If you're following along and have been for a while, you know I'm cheap," the Muskegon woman writes. "And if you're new to the blog, or this is the first post you've ever read, then you must know this: I'm really cheap! There are very few things I won't spend a lot of money on, and often beauty products and jewelry are among those things."
