The posted detour is to exit westbound I-96 at 112th Avenue (Nunica, exit 10), take a right on 112th and then a left on M-104.

The exit 10 ramp has been reconstructed and is now open with access to the north only on 112th. The bridge over the freeway to the south is still under construction.

The Michigan Department of Transportation said the work is weather dependent (no rain, cold temps, etc.)

For up-to-date information on this project and others, go to the list of statewide lane closures at michigan.gov/drive.

I understand they are using the old ground-up Eagle Ottawa buildings to construct these two new exits and/or the new M-231 bridge. I think that is a great job of recycling and hopefully expense reduction by the MDOT.

Actually no, Crushed concrete, 22A or Gravel is around the same price per ton. The only savings may be in the short trucking costs and the amount of material needed.

well, I sit corrected in my ignorance.

Good thing that they have reconstructed this one. It is really more effective. Good job on this and keep up the good work. -

This work has been needed for a long time. So many issues in this area that need to be fixed. Glad to see it happening but taking way too long. Tefl online
