Undersheriff Jon Hess said the investigation involves possible misappropriation of funds from Heritage Baptist Church, located off 60th Street S.E. in Kentwood, but he wouldn't confirm by whom or how much money is missing.
Mark Antram, a Christian education pastor at Heritage Baptist Church, issued a short statement: "An incident has occurred. It has been turned over to the Kent County Sheriff's Department for investigation. No further statement is authorized pending completion of their investigation."
