The last day in business for Uniquely Stranded, 134 Washington Ave., is Sept. 22, said the store's owner, Michelle Lemmen. She said the business would instead focus exclusively on its online sales of handcrafted jewelry.

Two years ago, Lemmen opened the store and expanded her jewelry line with women’s shoes, apparel and accessories.

“I miss having the time to devote to designing and creating jewelry,” she said. “So I made the decision to close the retail store and return to what I love best — making beautiful and unique jewelry. Much of what I have in the store will be available online.”

Lemmen said she had planned to open a bridal boutique, but has since scuttled that idea.

“The gowns were purchased but I did not have the time to devote to make a very special bridal store," she said. "All of the bridal gowns will be available now for the first time in our store" until the closing.
