Kimball’s win came in one of the largest One-Design Championships of 2012, with 94 boats competing.
“Having sailed in over 200 MC Scow regattas myself, I can tell you this clearly was the strongest fleet we have ever assembled,” said event chairman Eric Hood.
Kimball finished with 27 points despite not having to sail the final race because he held such a large lead. Kimball placed first in the opening race, then followed that up with a second, a fifth, a third, a 12th and a fourth. He skipped the seventh race.
