Despite the loss, Bucs’ coach Roger Glass was encouraged that his squad continues to see their team score improve.

“That’s where we we’ve been trying to  get around. That’s where most of the O-K Red schools have been shooting,” Glass said. “I’m happy that we’ve seen our scores get lower each time we’ve come out.”

Martha Ramsey shot the low score for the Bucs with a 48, while Hailey Watkins was one stroke behind with a 49.

Kaelie DeVries fired a 51, while Glass was happy with the way Meghan Hendrickson played in her first varsity meet.

“She shot a 54, which I thought was pretty good,” he said. “I expect her to be in the 40s real soon. She was injured most of last season and this was her first varsity match.

“I expect to see us have four scores in the 40s very soon, which is right where we want to be.”
