Dresses can be dropped off between 7 and 7:45 a.m. Thursday at the school, 17001 Ferris St. in Grand Haven Township. Volunteers will be collecting clean, gently used dresses on hangers
Thirteen dresses were dropped off Tuesday for the exchange, which is a fundraiser for the school's orchestra program.
Here's how it works:
A volunteer will be in the rotunda of the high school to collect the donated dresses. The donor will receive a coupon for each dress donated to use at the exchange.
Grand Haven High School students with coupons will be able to exchange them and $10 for a "new" homecoming dress from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 15. That takes place in the ensemble room in the music wing of the school (follow the signs).
From noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, the dress exchange will be open to all Grand Haven students showing a student ID. They can purchase dresses for $25.
Any leftover dresses will be donated to a local charity.
