Better Health has new home

Better Health Products recently opened in the remodeled building at 15281 Cleveland St. in Spring Lake Township. The building was formerly used as a floor covering business and hair salon.

Owner Patrick Powers operated the business at 109 N. Seventh St. in Grand Haven for the past decade.

“The Grand Haven location was open to the public, but it wasn't really advertised,” Powers said. “Because of this location, we thought we would get a lot of new people.”

Powers' father, a retired physician, assisted him in the creation of vitamin and mineral formulas.

“We've got about 100 formulas,” Powers explained. “We came up with base formulas from research found on the Internet. My dad was helpful with those formulas.”

The formulas are manufactured into pill and tablet form by companies in Pittsburgh and New Jersey.
