The Lakers took first place in all but one event in their 109-60 victory.

“We got off to a bit of a slow start the first half of the meet, but with a little pep talk at the half-way point, we turned it around and swam well,” said head coach Kim Arnold.

Spring Lake’s divers were the shining stars, as each Laker recorded their personal best score and three received another regional score.

Paige Rubleski led the Lakers’ charge by improving her score by 14 points with a 208.50.

Makayla Boyink took second with a 177.40 and Shelby Munch was third with a 166.55. All three received their third (out of five) regional score.

Diving coach Barb Brackett also was impressed with freshman Hannah Carey’s personal best score of 139.25.

“It was great to see how much the girls have improved even from last week,” Brackett said.
