Volleyball roundup: SL has no trouble sweeping Big Reds

Spring Lake secured its 10th victory of the season on Monday with an easy sweep of non-conference foe Muskegon.

The Lakers prevailed by scores of 25-6, 25-10, 25-14.

Spring Lake had 20 aces during the three-game sweep, including a team-high five by setter Emily Blahnik, and four from defensive specialist Brooke TenBrink.

Kelsee Zuidema and Lydia Suchecki had 12 and 11 kills, respectively, while Courtney Kyser led the Lakers with three blocks. Blahnik totaled 22 assists and seven digs, while TenBrink led the team with 16 digs.

Spring Lake travels to face Ludington tonight.
