and struggling to improve my knowledge of the camera's capabilities. It was suggested to take photography classes from Mr. Ed Post. I have searched far and wide for information about Mr. Post's classes, but have not found any. Can you help me?"

ANSWER:

Ed Post — who happens to be an award-winning photographer, as well as a longtime Ottawa County judge — does offer photography classes from time to time. His next scheduled class is at Meijer Gardens in Grand Rapids on Saturday, Jan. 26. The daylong (9 a.m. to 3 p.m.) workshop will focus on digital photography.

"This program is aimed at beginning and intermediate digital photographers," Post said. "This workshop will cover the basics of digital photography, light, exposure, composition and equipment. Participants will have the opportunity to wander the grounds and practice what they've learned."

More information and registration for the class are available from Meijer Gardens. Call 616-975-3147 or 888-957-1580. The information is not yet available on Meijer Gardens' website.
