More room for Water's Edge

Wallace operated the upscale consignment shop in the Keenan Marina complex in Ferrysburg for the past two and a half years. She recently moved the business to 108 W. Savidge St., doubling the shop's space.

The multiple rooms on the main level of the former optometrist's office play host to vignette displays in shopping "nooks." One room is dedicated to jewelry, and hooks display a plethora of purses.

Within the next two weeks, an elevator will take shoppers to a downstairs filled with furniture and home items.

“This is fabulous here,” Wallace said. “The traffic is so much better. I've gotten so many great compliments.”

Wallace practiced as an aesthetic nurse for 35 years prior to launching Water's Edge. She still performs facials, peels and makeup artistry at the shop.

The Spring Lake store stocks women's and men's clothing, shoes, hats, scarves — and more than 200 cocktail, evening and wedding gowns.
