Organ recital at St. Matthew

St. Matthew Lutheran Church will host the Rev. Christopher Ahlman in an organ recital at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25.

Ahlman has recently been sent by the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod to be a missionary in Leipzig, Germany. In his recital, he will perform a selection of J.S. Bach's organ works composed when he was a kantor of the St. Thomas and St. Nicholas churches in Leipzig.

The recital will take place at the church, 15395 Rannes St. in Spring Lake Township. A free-will donation will be received for Ahlman's work in the former East Germany and Eurasia.
