The Livingston County Daily Press & Argus reported the drive by the group at SonRise Church in Howell is for Fowlerville-based nonprofit Christian Resources International.
Jordan Belanger, 14, said the youth group "just wanted to do something to get the name of God out there." The deadline they've set is Dec. 20.
Over nearly six decades, Christian Resources International said it has donated $255 million in literature to 169 countries. Last year, it donated $4.5 million in Bibles and Christian teaching tools.
Bibles with a $1 donation attached to the inside cover to assist in distribution efforts may be dropped off at SonRise Church or Christian Resources International.
