The suspect, a 30-year-old white male from the City of Coopersville, did flee the scene prior to the deputies' arrival and continues to be outstanding.

Lt. Mark Bennett said the incident started at 11:44 p.m. on Monday with a domestic assault in the 200 block of East Scarlett Oak in the Timberline Estates mobile home park. Injuries were minor and the recently estranged boyfriend apparently left the scene and broke into two homes in the 100 block of Randall St.

Bennette said change and car keys were taken, but the suspect was not able to start the car.

The assault, with minor injuries, and the break-ins were all believed to be related, he said.

The Sheriff's Department urges the public to lock their homes and vehicles to avoid becoming a victim of a crime. Also, report any suspicious activity in and around your community.
