Stoney Creek had a 1-0 lead after one period of play, but the Bucs bounced back with two scores in the second. Chris Corgan found the back of the net first, with assists credited to Tom Zelenka and Asa Pellegrom.

Tyler Ploeg then gave the Bucs’ a 2-1 advantage with his unassisted goal later in the period.

Stoney Creek tied the game going into the third period, but Steggles’ goal, off an assist from Ian Hibbard, put the Bucs back on top for good.

Grand Haven outshot Stoney Creek by a 26-17 margin and converted two power play goals. Zach Kooi was credited for the victory in goal for Grand Haven.

The Bucs square off against another non-conference foe at Edge Ice Arena today, as Cadillac visits. The puck drops at 3 p.m.
