Women build Habitat home
About 30 women mingled and shingled Tuesday at the Tri-Cities Area Habitat for Humanity's National Women Build Week event.
And as the women measured, cut and hammered at the Habitat home at 211 Branmar Woods Court, soon-to-be homeowner Sara Cherry caulked walls and basked in the warmth of a place to call her own.
Tri-Cities Habitat for Humanity Executive Director Beth Hanis said she was impressed with the number of volunteers, many from Ventura Manufacturing and Herman Miller in Zeeland.
