Individual wrestling finals Day 1

Grand Haven, Spring Lake and Fruitport wrestlers are competing in the individual state finals this weekend at The Palace of Auburn Hills.

 The opening round took place on Thursday, with action continuing on Friday and wrapping up on Saturday. Six of Grand Haven's nine wrestlers won their opening matches on Thursday, as did three of the Lakers' four wrestlers. Fruitport's lone participant lost on Thursday. (Tribune photos/John Siemion)
