Buccaneer football players confirm college choices

Grand Haven High School seniors Torrey Appel (OL/DL), Danny Cotter (WR), Dakota Smith (RB) and Scott Staal (QB) each signed their national letter of intent on Wednesday, which is National Signing Day for college football programs across the country.

Appel will take his talents to Ferris State, while Cotter will attend Butler, Smith will head to Northern Michigan, and Staal will play at Valparaiso.
