Spring Lake girls basketball tops Newaygo in season opener

Spring Lake's varsity girls basketball team opened its season with a 42-20 win over Newaygo on Friday at Spring Lake High School. The game was the first on the bench for new Lakers' varsity coach Rich Hyde. Evie Lorimer scored 25 points for Spring Lake. (Tribune photos/Matt DeYoung)
