Ottawa County Adoption Day 2011

Twelve children in Ottawa County were adopted into 10 families at the Ottawa County Fillmore Street Complex on Tuesday as part of Michigan's Adoption Day.

The event featured a presentation from the Vanstrate family of Spring Lake, who adopted two brothers exactly one year apart from each other in 2009 and 2010.

During Tuesday's adoption proceedings, the Tysmans of Grand Haven officially adopted a 9-year-old boy named Nathan.
