Old beech tree in 100 block of Sherman Avenue falls Wednesday night

An old beech tree in 100 block of Sherman Avenue, Grand Haven, fell about 11 p.m. Wednesday night. Fabric top of neighbor William Law’s vehicle was pierced by a falling limb. Homeowner Gerry VanStratte didn't hear the tree fall, but was alerted by another neighbor.
