Cars sideswipe, then hit pole, garage

 Two Spring Lake women were driving their mini vans south on 148th Avenue just before 6 p.m. One slowed to make a turn and the other attempted to pass, when the vehicles sideswiped each other and went off the road. One car hit a utility pole and the other went through the corner of a garage. Both women suffered minor injuries.
