Vivian Mae Slager, age 75, of Holland, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, March 20, 2012, in Hospice House of Holland.
Vivian worked for Sears, Food Haven and Sandy Point Restaurant, and was a member of Harlem Reformed Church.
Vivian was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Slager, in 1985; her son, Steve Slager, in 1997; and her son-in-law, Bruce Brand, in 2006.
She is survived by her children: Sue Brand of Grand Haven, Linda Moore of Virginia Beach, Va., Lorie and Craig Horton of Escondido, Calif., Sandy and Ken Hodgson of Holland, Kenn and Kim Slager of Hamilton, Tim Slager and Lisa Beckman of Holland, Nancy and Scott Durfee of West Olive, and Brenda Burton of Holland; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her sisters and brothers: Joyce Van Slooten, Barb (Rich) Jones, Elsie McCallum, Jack (Sharla) Van Slooten, Peggy Sas, Stan (Kim) Van Slooten and Betty (Ron) Sas; her brother-in-law, Glen Slager; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 23, 2012, in Harlem Reformed Church, 6854 144th Ave., with the Rev. John Nyitray officiating.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday, March 22, 2012 (today) at Harlem Reformed Church.
Burial will take place in Ventura Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to Hospice of Holland.
