Lillian Bishop, age 69, of Grand Haven passed away on Wednesday, August 1, 2012, at Spectrum Butterworth Health Campus in Grand Rapids.
She was born to the late Willard and LaVerne (DeHaan) Johnson on February 21, 1943 in Grand Haven. Lillian married Ronald Bishop on June 19, 1965 in Grand Haven. She was a day care provider for 21 years and currently a cell leader at West Michigan Custom Molding. Lillian was on a bowling league on Tuesday mornings at Starlight and was a member of a woman’s group at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ.
She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Ronald; daughter, Michelle (Christopher) Zuverink of West Olive; son, Craig Bishop of Grand Haven; two grandchildren, Matthew and Nicholas Zuverink; mother-in-law, Esther Bishop of Farwell, MI; sister, Sandy Harmon of Ferrysburg; brothers, Louis (Vicky) Johnson of Grand Haven and Willard Jr. (Sharon) Johnson of Ferrysburg; sister-in-law, Rose (Dick) Blaisdell of Farwell, MI; aunt, Lawanda Thomas of Grand Haven; uncle, Edward “Skeeter” Johnson; and several nieces and nephews.
Lillian was preceded in death by her sister, Alice Terrell; nephew, John Harmon; brother in-law, Bob Harmon; and father-in-law, Russell Bishop.
The Funeral Service for Lillian will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 8, 2012, at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ with Rev. John Carpenter officiating. Interment will be at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ.
