Working for residents' safety

To the Editor: Regarding your recent article about the Health Department inspecting local eateries on the (March 9) front page of the Grand Haven Tribune, Ottawa County Public Health encourages your readers to have peace of mind while enjoying their local eatery.

We take every opportunity to work together with Ottawa County restaurants to assure conditions that provide health and safety for our community members. As commented by Sarah Luna, restaurant owner of Did’s Deli in Grand Haven, “This partnership between the Health Department and restaurant owners is a way to serve our customers the best we can. It is a priority for restaurant owners to resolve any issue or violation before opening their doors to the public.”
