Dining Divas go to Whitehall

The Lakeshore Dining Divas sought a waterfront dining experience a short drive from Grand Haven for their latest review.
Jun 17, 2014

The divas headed north earlier this month to Harbor View Grille in Whitehall, a little more than a half-hour drive up U.S. 31.

“The Harbor View Grille is situated on White Lake, which connects to Lake Michigan via a narrow channel — so, whether you're seated inside the restaurant or outdoors on the patio, there's a gorgeous view of the water,” the divas wrote in their blog. “In fact, Bari shared a story with us about running a sailboat aground on White Lake.”

The divas were at the restaurant on a Friday evening and, though it was June, was a little cool. So, they opted to dine indoors rather than the deck.

“With finger-food as a first course, Nancy said she wanted to use the restroom to wash her hands,” they wrote. “Upon returning to the table, she announced, ‘You have got to go wash your hands — it’s amazing!’”

Good to see all the old gals back together again - chugging microbrews and passing out in the car no less. To be honest, they won me over this month with the bathroom report and accompanying photo. Keep up the good work!

There is nothing I want to see in a "restaurant review" more than the reviewer using the rest room.

Bon Appétit!

Its funny how they took a pic of her washing her hands after she dropped a deuce!

I'm going to have to check this place out. The first thing I will do is use the bathroom, then wash my hands!!

In more recent news, "Nancy uses soap for the first time!"

Sooo the toilet seat was soft what about the food?

SLNativeSince1864

Passing out in cars, running sailboats aground, idolizing the bathroom. It's about time these divas let us know they're human!

It's good to know that the old snappers care about hygiene.

Been to that Restrant in the summer,it dose have good food and a great view of white Lake, their are a couple in Muskegon on the lake as well I enjoyed,I don't go down town Grand Haven,no parking, high prices, and the cops are driving around stareing at you just drooling to bust you for something.

Riverside

Not enough parking? There's plenty of city lots downtown, sure you may have to walk a little bit. High prices at the restaurants downtown? If you want good food, you have to pay a little more plain and simple, unless your a cheap skate, then you might as well do the two for $20 specials at Applebee's and get a somewhat decent meal.

If the prices are that high, why are all the restaurants downtown always busy? Unless your doing something wrong, the local PD are not watching you.

Hi Divas :o)
When are you going to review "Bear Lake Tavern"? I need to know if I can get my boat in without running aground. :o)
