The Tribune accepts letters from the public regarding recent newspaper content, general concerns or current events. We cannot publish anonymous letters; or submissions containing hate speech, obscenities or personal attacks.
We reserve the right to edit submissions for grammar, clarity and length. We strive to be as light-handed as possible, mainly because Letters to the Editor are reader-generated content and we don’t want to put words in anyone’s mouth.
Letters must include the writer’s full name, address and a contact phone number. However, we only publish the name and municipality.
We strongly encourage Letters to the Editor be sent electronically by e-mail, partly to reduce the possibility of errors, to: email@example.com.
Letters may still be sent by mail (101 N. Third St., Grand Haven, MI 49417), but are subject to delays because they will need to be typed. Letters will not be accepted over the phone.
