Describing a visit last weekend to the Holland Harbor lighthouse is no exception.
In her "Selective Potential" blog of Jan. 26, Tieka lets us know she and her boyfriend, Eric, celebrated getting over the stomach flu by driving to Holland to see "Big Red."
"This lighthouse has been on my list-to-see for forever," she wrote. "Isn't it hilarious that I've driven eight hours to see a lighthouse and yet one that's 40 minutes away I hadn't seen yet? Silly. But anyway, it was lovely."
And, of course, we get a description (and lots of photos) of the outfit she specifically picked out for the occasion.
"For my outfit today, I decided to match my location," Tieka wrote. "Ha, what's new!"

wasted tribune space....who cares
Exactly. I have a feeling this girl is a friend of someone at the tribune and wanted free advertisement.
This is a totally useless story, oops I meant advertisement, with no value to the community.
I have nothing against this woman's blogging venture, but I hope someone from the Tribune will help us to understand the "story" here. Why is this a story? It is actually categorized as an opinion piece ... but I do not even see any thought out opinions expressed in the article.
Please respond. Is the future of content at grandhaventribune.com?
I'm guessing they will claim it is because she blogged about Holland's lighthouse. And since we also have a lighthouse in GH, her blog is somehow totally relevant. I know, quite a stretch, but that is the only semi-coherent reason I could muster. Or maybe she knows someone at the trib.

Well, there went 3 minutes of my life that I'll never get back.
I started to, but...
