Captain Obvious

Thanks to the Michigan Senate for the dredging funds which are a temporary band-aid. Time to invest in some type of dam or sill in the St Clair river to regulate the lake levels long term so we don't have to waste all our money on dredging. Over the long term, dredging is a lose lose proposition.

The St. Clair river has nothing to do with dredging. If they never dredged the channel it would eventually fill with all the silt from upstream. The channel is becoming shallow from the bottom much more quickly than the result of lower lake levels.
