Spring Lake man wants to unseat Amanda Price

To the Editor: Matt Wiedenhoeft of Spring Lake will shelter conservative values in West Michigan as our new 89th District Representative in Lansing. He is running to upset Amanda Price in her current incumbent position.
May 12, 2014

Matt will provide a limited government voice lacking in West Michigan. He
intends to hold the line on proposed laws for tax increases, incentives and
regulation that will harm the promise he has made to his constituents, and
those in the State. He will evaluate Medicaid Expansion/ObamaCare our
incumbent representative has supported twice, and support legislation to
eliminate it or transparently change it. Matt will also work to have
“Common Core” removed from Michigan schools and replaced with common
sense educational review by local parents, teachers and administrators.

Matt has signed and will support The Committee to Restore MI's Part-Time
Legislature. He believes lawmakers spend too much time in Lansing being
influenced by lobbyists costing Michigan taxpayers additional dollars because
of additional unneeded laws. He will spend the extra time gathering
information and concerns that citizens’ in MI’s 89th district relay to
him.

Matt is up to the challenge. Wiedenhoeft is the founder and lead consultant
of PALANO Consulting, a sports and small-business firm. He also teaches
business, management, accounting and economics at Davenport and Baker College
in West MI. He is a former minor league hockey player and coach.

He is a representative willing to stand up for you. Support, and vote for
Matt on August 5, 2014, in the Primary election. For further information check

I think Matt Wiedenhoeft is the best candidate for the senate seat for the 89th district. His values are strong and his desire to do away with common core will save the children from being indoctrinated into a history of lies. He is well educated and is a great family man with the best intentions of the 89th district in mind. Send in your tax deductible donations now to support Matt Wiedenhoeft and his candidacy for Michaigan Senate 89th District.

I will definitely vote for him and ask him for a sign in my yard. But deep down inside I don't think he will win. Remember 2010. 7 candidates with the exception of Brandon Hall I feel were all more qualified than she was. She won because the speaker of the house at that time said at her dinner party fund raisers said she will and they will make sure of it. Mike Hewitt a candidate had a lunch meeting with other candidates at the Yellow jacket also withdrew from the race and encourage other candidates to do so because its already been decided in Lansing by the PAC committee that Amanda will win. She got $180,000 in campaign contributions and the other candidates got zilch. He won't win - the voters will plaster her back in. Her husband is a pastor of a huge church and the whole church votes for her both in person and absentee for wives and college kids over 18. Now if the people in those trailer parks in this district would vote in person or absentee - she would be gone and Matt would be in. But it aint happening. She has already won this election in advance. But I will still vote for Matt.
