Supports Amanda Price

To the Editor: One of the most overlooked, but arguably the most important functions our State Representatives carry out is constituent services.
Jul 29, 2014

Interactions with frustrated or confused constituents are rarely glamorous, but leave impressions when deciding who will earn their vote.  Positive experiences usually result in voter’s support, while negative experiences can destroy an official’s reputation in their community regardless of their record.  I’m happy to say that our State Representative, Amanda Price, has proven herself to be the former.

I am a partner in an accounting firm in Grand Haven, and when I encountered an issue with a client and was not sure where to turn, Representative Price was there to advocate on my behalf and see my case through to insure a favorable result.  This took many hours from all involved, but went above and beyond for excellent constituent relations.

In a world where many other politicians are too busy looking out for themselves or planning the next move in their career, this interaction served as a reminder that there are still those who are dedicated to handling constituent issues diligently and professionally.  Amanda Price is one such  official, and I am proud to support her on August 5th.

Very nice endorsement. With voting just around the corner, be a little more specific without naming names. Was it a problem with the MI dept of Treasury? What statute was causing the problem? What administrative or school code? I would like a little more than just a general letter - need more specifics in order to be an informed voter.
