Supports Amanda Price

To the Editor: Our State needs, and the residents of the 89th district deserve, competent leadership as Michigan moves ahead in its economic recovery. As citizens, we must do our part by voting in Tuesday’s election.

Because experience and leadership matter, I will be voting for State Representative Amanda Price.

I have worked with Amanda Price for many years when she served as a Trustee and then the Supervisor in Park Township, and I have come to know her as an excellent and level-headed leader as our State Representative. As the Chair of the House Committee on Local Government, Representative Price has used her experience and expertise to lead the way in eliminating outdated and unnecessary regulations that have cost cities, townships, and villages time, and more importantly, our taxpayers money.

We cannot take this level of professionalism for granted. Michigan’s recovery needs leaders, like Representative Price, who understand the inner workings of our townships and counties. This need has been widely recognized by the Michigan Township’s Association, and by pro-business groups like the Michigan Chamber of Commerce and the Small Business Association of Michigan, who along with nearly every other respected group concerned with building a better future for Michigan, have endorsed Amanda Price.

Amanda Price has already proven to be a reliable, hardworking advocate for the constituents of the 89th district. I ask my neighbors to join me in her reelection.

Nice letter but voters need to be informed. Need a sampling of what outdated unnecessary regulations did she vote on eliminating? Exactly what? Her opponent is running around all over place saying things. Need facts not rhetoric.

There have been very many administrative rules and regulations that have been rescinded since Amanda Price took office. For a complete listing, see the document created by the state here

So how much time money and effort did these rule changes save the taxpayers of MI?

No Thank You.
