To the Editor: The whole issue of gridlock in Congress revolves around the inability for my Republican friends on one side and my Democrat friends on the other for a failure to understand or appreciate the others' point of view.
The state Legislature was in session for more than 100 days in 2012. So why was it that the Legislature waited until 4:30 a.m. — following a 20-hour marathon session — to push a flurry of bills through to Gov. Rick Snyder?
I began to hear Christmas music in stores even before Thanksgiving. The Christmas music you usually hear in the malls and supermarkets is rather secular — "Jingle Bells" and the like — pretty tame stuff with no religious message. Much of it is awful, especially in the supermarket renditions.
