Police searching for Marne bank robber

MARNE — Police are searching for a man who entered an Ottawa County bank Tuesday morning wearing a gray wig, gray beard and top hat.

The white male suspect entered Comerica Bank, 14695 16th Ave. in Marne, at about 10 a.m. and demanded money, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff's Department. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect left the building and ran south, police said.

The Sheriff's Department, assisted by an FBI task force in its investigation, said there were no injuries in the robbery and no weapons were seen.

Police have released still shots from a surveillance camera that they hope may lead to an arrest.
