Free drum clinic, concert set for March 14

MUSKEGON — West Michigan's 10th annual Free Fun with Drums Concert/Clinic will be held Friday, March 14, at Muskegon High School Auditorium, 80 W. Southern Ave. The event will run from 7-9 p.m.

Two-time Grammy Award-winning drummer Gregg Bissonette and Muskegon's Derico Watson are expected to perform with other award-winning drummers.

Bissonette is Ringo Starr's drummer, and has played with David Lee Roth, Santana, Joe Satriani, James Taylor, Linda Ronstadt, Larry Carlton, Maynard Ferguson and Ray Charles. He also does several voices for Disney.

Watson is currently on tour with world-famous bassist Victor Wooten, and has performed with Felix Pastorius, Kirk Franklin, Jeff Coffin Mu'Tet, Stacie Orrico and the Extreme Bass Trio.
