Club to host doll sale Saturday in Muskegon
Wed, May 7, 2008
MUSKEGON The Muskegon Sand Dollers Doll Club will host its 25th annual doll sale Saturday at Maranatha Conference Center, 4759 Lake Harbor Road.
The event will have earlybird shopping from 9-10 a.m. with a $7 admission, and shopping from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with a $3 admission.
Money raised from the event will help buy toys for local charities where they will go to needy parents at Christmas. Last year, many dolls and toys were donated to the Salvation Army.
Members will be available to give oral appraisals for a small fee and free estimates on doll repairs or redressing. Dig out that doll you have in the closet that belonged to grandma and bring her to the sale to see what a makeover would cost.
Vendors will be selling a wide variety of items including teddy bears, antique dolls, new dolls and reborn dolls, as well as doll-related items including clothing, furniture and parts.
There will also be door prizes, raffles and silent auctions.
