A 57-year-old Spring Lake man pleaded guilty Monday to home invasion second degree, one month after police said he entered a neighbor's home to watch pornographic movies and call adult chat lines.
Oscar Leroy Jones, 120 W. Exchange, is to be sentenced June 23.
According to Spring Lake/Ferrysburg police, Jones entered a neighbor's home through an unlocked door while she was at work, and ordered nearly $300 in pay-per-view pornographic movies.
Jones also admitted to making phone calls to adult chat lines while in the home, police said.
Jones, who served 90 days in jail and three years probation after pleading guilty in October 2003 to accosting children for immoral purposes, was already on probation at the time of his arrest for a Jan. 29 failure to register as a sex offender conviction.
In the October 2003 case, two victims Ferrysburg girls ages 11 and 13 received phone calls from a man calling himself "Dr. Cary," who asked the girls questions that were sexual in nature, according to Spring Lake/Ferrysburg Police Chief Roger DeYoung. Dozens of other calls were reported before detectives traced them back to Jones.
Jones remains lodged in the Ottawa County Jail.
