Smoke-free dining coupon booklets available

Free coupon booklets with discounts to 46 Ottawa County restaurants that promote smoke-free dining are available at participating restaurants, local libraries, health department offices and at community events.
Smoke-Free Ottawa, a countywide tobacco reduction coalition, is producing the 15,000 booklets as a way of promoting and thanking local restaurants that have chosen to go smoke-free.
December 2006 marked the start of the Coalition's campaign to increase smoke-free dining. During the first year, 31 restaurants voluntarily became smoke-free. So far this year, six dining establishments have joined the county's growing smoke-free list.
This is the second year the booklets have been distributed.
