Ferrysburg bridge repair to begin July 28

FERRYSBURG — Repairs on the West Spring Lake Road bridge over Smith's Bayou are scheduled to begin July 28.

The bridge will be closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic through Aug. 9.

Construction crews will mill, regrout and seal the bridge deck. Fourteen pier caps and columns and the concrete slope protection will also be repaired.

During the project, traffic using West Spring Road will be detoured using Ridge Avenue, 174th Avenue, VanWagoner Road and 168th Avenue.

The project is scheduled to be complete Sept. 15.
