Community invited to graduates' Baccalaureate ceremonies

Wed, May 21, 2008    to del.icio.us

First Priority of the Lakeshore, a Christian campus club ministry, will hold three Baccalaureate ceremonies this spring in honor of the graduating seniors from Grand Haven, Spring Lake and Fruitport high schools.

Baccalaureate is a service celebrating God's presence in the students' lives.

"We're so proud of all the students who are graduating," said Randy White, executive director for First Priority. "All three high schools have awesome kids to work with. We're certainly going to miss the seniors next year."

Grand Haven High School seniors will hold their Baccalaureate prior to graduation on Tuesday, May 27, at 5 p.m. in the high school's Performing Arts Center.

The Baccalaureate celebration for Spring Lake High School will also be held prior to their graduation, at 1 p.m. on Sunday, June 1, at Spring Lake Wesleyan Church, 15550 Cleveland St.

This year's Baccalaureate service for Fruitport High School will be held at the Fruitport High School Auditorium on Wednesday, May 28, at 6:30 p.m.

Baccalaureate is open to everyone and the community is invited to attend. These services are coordinated in honor of and in service to all the graduating seniors by First Priority of the Lakeshore.

First Priority exists as an extension of the local churches, equipping students for effective peer ministry by establishing student-led Christian campus clubs in local middle and high schools.
