Annual art fest fills downtown this weekend

BY MARK BROOKYThe 48th annual Downtown Grand Haven Art Festival came out from under the tents Saturday.
Rain showers dampened the start of the two-day festival Saturday morning. But warm sunshine greeted visitors and vendors in the afternoon.

The festival is organized by the Chamber of Commerce Grand Haven-Spring Lake-Ferrysburg, and run by Howard Alan Events. It features 150 or more artists plus live music and food, and a block full of kids games and activities.
The festival on the first three blocks of Washington Avenue will continue Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission and parking are free.
